Robin Hood Gardens and Balfron Tower
i am in love with exposed concrete. kind of.
Alexandra Road Estate
brutalism is not everyone's cup of tea. but if it is: you will love this estate.
Berlin revisited 2013
i left my suitcase in berlin and went to pick it up only to forget it again.
Suffolk Coast
it was the power station in sizewell that reminded me that I wasn't trapped in a scenic postcard.
Chelsea Flower Show 2013
finally: a ticket for me to see the chelsea flower show. believe me: i was excited.
London 2012
photos taken in london during the olympic and paralympic games 2012. no traffic chaos during the games as anticipated. boring.
Thamesmead
thamesmead was to become the "town of the twenty-first century" when construction started in the mid- 1960s. elevated walkways everywhere.
London
photos i took in london. i like london in the rain but the rain didn't want to show up when i took the photos.
New York
i could see the empire state building from my bed. so i didn't close the curtains even though i only would have had to press a button.
Los Angeles
i really like the palm trees that are everywhere. they even make a parking lot look like a nice place to be.
Berlin
many photos of berlin. you might get bored if you aren't already.
Berlin Kreuzberg
I used to live in berlin-kreuzberg. in case you wanted to know.
Barcelona
don't miss barcelona's botanic gardens - jbb: jardí botànic de barcelona. the design of the gardens is based on triangles.
Kew Gardens
a wonderful place. i visit kew gardens throughout the year ... and i take photos there. did i mention they have fantastic scones there?
Elephant and Castle and the Heygate Estate
another glamourous and exiting location in london. very very "now" and happening i'd say if i had to market the place.
Hackney Wick
definitely one of the most glamourous locations i have visited so far. breathtaking indeed.
Brighton
i am attracted by the fading grandeur of brighton.
Aldeburgh
"when in aldeburgh, have fish and chips on the beach."
don't! the idea of eating fish and chips on the beach is much more romantic than actually doing it.

Thorpeness and Sizewell
what was there first? the postcard of thorpeness or thorpeness itself? it is very picturesque there. sizewell has a nuclear power station. it's an attraction of a different kind.
Bremen
interesting fact: i come from bremen.
Hamburg
- insert witty comment here -
Potsdam
look out for the dragon house in the sanssouci park: the café in there has lovely cake. another thing: potsdam was the residence of the prussian kings.
Brandenburg an der Havel
i worked on a project for the city council there. these are some photos taken on a site visit.
Disneyland
i know goofy and mickey mouse are not real but how comes i shook their hands in disneyland? just wondering.
Paris
i spent a weekend in paris with a friend pretending to be the very french couple brigitte et pierre.
Dublin
not all irish people wear green clothes all the time. that much i learned in dublin.
Montpellier
if you like postmodern architecture then visit montpellier's antigone. it is good fun to look at and totally over the top - in my humble opinion.
Nimes
denim, the fabric of jeans, derives its name from nimes (de nîmes = denim).
Edinburgh
edinburgh gets very busy in august. tears don't help you get a ticket when the performance is sold out. lessons learnt in edinburgh.
California
photos taken driving around california
Winter Wonderland: Brighton and London
1+2 Feb 2009
it snowed ... more than usual. in fact, some areas experienced their largest snowfall levels in 18 years. on 2 february, all London buses were removed from service.
All over the UK
more, more, more ... i should see more of the uk outside london.
Wick Lane, East London
nothing special there. the light was just very bright and allowed for interesting photos. boring, isn't it?
